Position on Facilitated Communication

AUTCOM Position:

The Autism National Committee believes that everyone has something to say and a right to say it. We need to be constantly open to opportunities to listen and the obligation to explore methodologies that enhance all communication. Facilitated communication is one of those methodologies.

FC Stories Available

A Foot in Both Worlds (edited by Mary Lapos), a collection of stories by and about people who communicate through FC, is available through AUTCOM. Please click here for the AUTCOM bookstore.

For a thorough compilation of information on the topic of Facilitated Communication, including bibliographies, abstracts, articles by FC users, educational materials and conference information, please visit our friends at the FC Institute at Syracuse University on their own home page: http://soeweb.syr.edu/thefci/
